Want to learn to surf but don t know where to start? Choosing the right board includes a few factors, including your skill level, your size or height, and what type of surfing you want to do.
Deciding what to do is all just a matter of experience. The wave is moving toward you, so if you keep moving toward it, you will be surprised at how quickly you can get there, and possible even slip right under the lip. Even if you think you're going to get beat by the wave, just keep paddling straight toward the wave.
In the summertime, the water is flat and is a charming spot for snorkeling, fishing and swimming. Often you can hire these boards near your local beach, but if not, try and borrow someones mal. Things you will definitely need to bring are a bathing suit, sun block, a towel, and water as it is easy to get dehydrated in the sun.
The breaks in the area that will get you totally stoked are Boneyards, Dungeons, Kitchen Windows, Phantoms and Magnatubes. Always wear sun-block.
