Surfing is a phenomenal sport that can literally be picked up by almost anyone at nearly any age. A less frequented beach with small to medium sized slow moving waves and a sandy bottom and sandy shore line is the perfect place to get started.
Now surfers can surf year round, as well as in places with freezing cold water, and keep warm. It gives you something to look forward to after your surf and keeps you steady on your feet. A beginner should never try to learn on a shortboard, because shortboarding takes an intermediate to expert skill level.
It takes time to master the sport of surfing, but with the right instruction it can be easier than you think. Shortboards come in a variety of styles, but they are usually the thinnest kind of board with the least buoyancy. If you re interested in learning to surf don t be intimidated by the sport, or the thought of finding the perfect beginner beach.
Non-surfing activities are also great for fitness which will always help your surfing. So your fully decked out in your wettie, got your board and it's all waxed up and ready to go!
